Please read this policy before using CupCross. By using the app, you acknowledge the handling described here. If you do not agree with this policy, please stop using CupCross.
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the CupCross app, this website, and support communication sent to CupCross Coffee Ltd. through the contact email address. It does not apply to products, websites, or services independently offered by other parties.
CupCross is for adults aged 18 and over. By registering for or using CupCross, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are permitted to provide the information needed to use the service.
Information in the app
We handle information you submit, publish, or generate through the CupCross features you choose to use. Depending on the feature, this can include:
- Account and profile information: registration email address, password, display name, avatar, bio, country or region, language, interest tags, and other profile settings you provide.
- Match and interaction records: the locked time zone, quota, and reset status for Daily Coffee; global random match activity; and follow, unfollow, like, favourite, comment, and message records.
- Content you publish: post text, photos you choose to add, comments, and the publishing, profile, and interaction information needed to display them.
- Conversation and safety records: direct messages, participation status for video coffee conversations, blocked-account lists, report targets, report reasons, and the details you choose to provide.
- Coffee ticket records: ticket balance, use history, selected ticket pack, purchase status, and the product identifier and transaction result required to show the purchase outcome.
- Support communication: the name, email address, question, and attachments you provide when you contact us by email.
CupCross does not automatically collect device model, operating system version, language settings, crash logs, or network diagnostic data. CupCross also does not include analytics or crash-reporting services.
Please do not share identity document numbers, payment card information, a precise home address, medical information, or other sensitive information in your profile, posts, messages, video conversations, or support emails.
How information supports features
We use this information to operate the CupCross features you choose, not for unrelated purposes. This includes:
- using your email address and password to register, sign in, and confirm account deletion;
- displaying profiles, posts, comments, and interaction status so follows, messages, and discovery can work;
- calculating the Daily Coffee quota and reset time from your confirmed time zone, and handling match choices you initiate;
- maintaining coffee ticket balance and applying tickets to skip a match or extend a conversation by five minutes;
- handling reports, blocks, unblocks, post deletion, and message deletion you initiate; and
- replying to account, privacy, and use questions you send to our contact email address.
We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising profiles, analytics, or crash reporting.
Visibility and interactions
To provide discovery, matching, and social features, other CupCross users may see the display name, avatar, bio, country or region, language, interest tags, posts, and public interaction status that you choose to show. Before publishing a post, make sure that it is suitable for other users to read.
Direct messages and video coffee conversations are intended for the users participating in that conversation. Information you choose to say, show, or send can be saved, recorded, or shared again by the recipient. Decide whether to continue an interaction based on your own comfort, and do not share information you do not want another person to know.
Blocking stops further interaction with that account. A report records the reason and details you choose to submit so that safety feedback can be handled. You can end a conversation, block an account, or submit a report in the app.
Respect other people's boundaries and privacy. Do not publish, send, record, or distribute another person's content unless you have their clear permission.
Camera, microphone, photos, and notifications
CupCross requests system permissions only when you choose a feature that needs them. You can review, adjust, or turn off these permissions in your device settings. Turning off a permission can limit the feature that depends on it.
Camera and microphone
When you choose to join a video coffee conversation, the app requests camera and microphone access to provide live video and audio. Before entering a conversation, check that your surroundings and on-screen content are appropriate to share.
Photos
When you set an avatar, publish a post, or add an image in messages, the app may request access to the photos you select or use the camera to take a photo. Only media you confirm is added to the relevant avatar, post, or message feature.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, CupCross can show reminders related to messages, interactions, or your account. You can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time.
Coffee tickets and in-app purchases
CupCross offers five consumable coffee ticket packs: 499, 999, 1499, 1999, and 2999 tickets. Coffee tickets can skip a match or extend a conversation by five minutes. Tickets are deducted when they are used.
Purchases are handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play in-app purchase flow. CupCross does not ask you to enter a payment card number or other payment card details in the app. The app uses the purchase status, product identifier, and transaction result to add the applicable coffee tickets and show the purchase result.
Payment, refund, and platform-account matters are also governed by the rules of the app store you use. Refer to the price, currency, and platform terms shown at purchase.
Your controls
In the app, you can edit your profile, delete your own posts and messages, manage follows, blocked accounts, Daily Coffee time zone, and notification settings. A Daily Coffee time-zone change requires confirmation and is limited to once every 30 days.
You can also manage camera, microphone, photo, and notification permissions in your device settings. Revoking a permission does not change your existing profile, but can affect photo, video coffee, or notification features that need that permission.
For an ordinary registered account, you can start account deletion from the account area and confirm it by entering your password. After deletion, the app removes account credentials, profile information, published content, related interaction records, and media you own. Please make sure you no longer need this information before deleting the account.
For questions about personal information, email eamonchanny@icloud.com. To protect your account, we may ask for the information needed to verify that a request comes from the account holder.
Account protection
CupCross uses email and password for ordinary account sign-in. Use a password known only to you, do not share your password or signed-in session with anyone else, and do not remain signed in on a public device.
If you notice activity that was not initiated by you, receive suspicious messages, or believe that someone has used your account without permission, stop using the account and contact eamonchanny@icloud.com.
Minors
CupCross is only for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe that someone under 18 has created a CupCross account or provided personal information, contact eamonchanny@icloud.com and explain the situation.
